In 7th grade English, we study 4 large units: Narrative, Exposition/Research, Response to Literature, and Persuasion.  The CA content standards for English/Language Arts form the core foundation of our studies.

During the year, we will read short stories and novels.   We have a heavy emphasis on writing, both expository and narrative essays. 

Students are responsible for maintaining a reader's/writers notebook for each unit.  The notebook will hold most of the students' work and constitutes a major part of their grade.
